ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE GULF OF NICOYA…
Before getting lost on Isla Chiquita, it's not bad to get your bearings. Isla Jesusita is one of the elevations of the land that rest in the picturesque Gulf of Nicoya, the deepest inlet of the sea in Costa Rican lands responsible for bathing the coasts of the provinces of Guanacaste and Puntarenas.
Located on the southern coast of the country, on the Pacific Ocean, tourists usually venture into these lands to discover the paradisiacal waters of Isla Tortuga or the San Lucas prison, where José León Sánchez wrote one of the most famous Costa Rican works : The Island of Lone Men. However, less exploited names await on this calm sea, but all of them of great natural beauty and a wide variety of flora and fauna, and an interesting fishing community that remains unchanged over time.
