List of the 150 Best European Restaurants 2021 according to OAD

Today the List of the 150 Best European Restaurants 2021 according to OAD (Opinionated About Dining) was announced live, a list founded at the time by Steve Plotnicki with the purpose of giving a voice to those passionate about gastronomy who do not hesitate to travel to seek the satisfaction and pleasure of good food, and they want to tell their experience and opinion about the restaurants they visit.

This year OAD has worked in collaboration with Vocento, the company responsible for Madrid Fusión and San Sebastián Gastronomika, to broadcast the presentation of the list and awards ceremony on its online channel. It must be said that luxury presenters such as Jeremy Chan, Massimilano Alajmo or Elena Arzak, among others, have participated in this gala to present what they consider to be the Best European Restaurants 2021. Regarding the OAD lists, it is worth remembering that for their configuration they have into account variables such as the number of times that a client registered in OAD visits the establishment, the rank that the restaurant occupied in the previous list, the positive and negative opinions it has received, etc., all of which we talked about in the recent presentation of OAD's 2021 Best Asian Restaurants list.

Now, without further ado, let's get to know the classification of the new edition of this OAD list. Classified in first position, moving up one compared to last year's list, is Chef Rasmus Munk's Alchemist Restaurant (Copenhagen, Denmark), considered by OAD to be the Best European Restaurant of the year 2021. In second place and down one position in the ranking Chef Björn Frantzén's Restaurant Frantzén (Stockholm, Sweden) is classified. In third position and climbing two places is the Etxebarri Restaurant of chef Víctor Arguinzoniz (Axpe, Spain).

In fourth position and going down one place in the classification is Andreas Caminada Restaurant by chef Andreas Caminada (Fürstenau, Switzerland). In fifth place and also descending one position we find the Lido 84 Restaurant by chef Riccardo Camanini (Gardone Riviera, Italy), in sixth place and ascending two positions is the Victor's Fine Dining by Christian Bau Restaurant by chef Christian Bau (Perl, Germany) .

The seventh place and climbing three places with respect to the list of the last edition, is for the Ernst Restaurant of chef Dylan Watson-Brawn (Berlin, Germany). In eighth place and rising six positions is Quique Dacosta Restaurant by chef Quique Dacosta (Denia, Spain), in ninth position is Restaurant De Librije by chef Jonnie Boer (Zwolle, The Netherlands) and, finally, the restaurant that closes the top 10 rising six positions is chef Rasmus Kofoed's Geranium Restaurant (Copenhagen, Denmark).

We emphasize that in the list of the 150 Best Restaurants in Europe this year 32 Spanish restaurants appear, although few are placed in the top 50:

3. Etxebarri, 8. Quique Dacosta Restaurant, 12. Enjoy, 13. Azurmendi, 21. El Celler de Can Roca, 22. Els Casals, 28. Diverxo, 31. Aponiente, 41. Martín Berasategui, 45. Bagá, 50. Mugaritz, 59. Ca l'Enric, 61. Alkimia, 62. Arzak, 73. Amelia, 74. Noor, 76. Lasarte, 91. Nerua, 94. Àbac, 102. Espai Kru by Rías de Galicia, 104. El Campero , 105. Moments, 110. El Pescadors, 117. L'Escaleta, 118. The truth is that it has been an unattractive presentation, with poor quality images and little passion, the interventions of the chefs have been very brief, Steve Plotnicki spoke very briefly with them and later they read a part of the list naming the restaurant and Chef. You can learn more about the list through the official OAD website.
