The temple of luxury brands at "bargain" prices in San Sebastián

Isabel Marant, Gucci, Prada or Moncler. All of them coexist at "bargain" prices in LVintage, a small shop located in San Sebastián (Calle Getaria, 14). Founded in 2019 by María Pérez and Ainhoa Urtega, at LVintage they store garments from the best brands at a price you would never have imagined. And how is it possible? Thanks to the 2nd Life model on which its business model is based, offering a second life to unique pieces signed by the design giants. "Our mission is to make top-brand clothing accessible to everyone," María tells us.

Betting on a circular and sustainable model, they work with top-quality garments that, although they are initially high-priced, because they are second-hand they become more accessible to everyone. "Our style coincides with that of the San Sebastian woman, pieces in which quality prevails but without being ostentatious," details the owner. And at the center of their project, they highlight careful customer service, a key differentiator that places them miles away from traditional second-hand stores «We want to provide a personalized service, advise and help the customer, so that people feel that they are in a store according to the type of garment they are buying”, he emphasizes.

When it comes to operating, Lvintage includes in its offer all the garments that land in its store, as long as they are top brand and in perfect condition «We work in a warehouse and we do not pay for the garments until they have been sold, so the person can also get the pledge back if he repents. We managed to produce garments without contaminating, respecting the environment and offering the opportunity for a person to wear a good garment at an affordable price«, summarizes María.

If in other European cities it is common to find second-hand shops around every corner -many have even become an obligatory stop for any adept of vintage fashion-, this type of purchase had not yet landed in Donostia. “We have a lot of tourism and tourism understands this type of product very well. Also among the local clientele we are having a very good reception and we are super happy », she reveals. Now and two years after its launch, within the walls of LVintage we not only find second-hand garments, since since September they have also given voice to the designs of the young San Sebastian brand Lagon Clothing. “We wanted if we had something new, it would be original and different,” she concludes.
