If we enter a portal like autoscout24.es and check how many car ads there are on Spanish territory, we will find more than 135,000. A genuine barbarity that shows that the second-hand market enjoys reasonable good health in our country.

Today, however, we do not want to give an overview of V.O.'s panorama, but to look at a particular car that has already earned the most expensive copy title put on sale in our country (we could also say in the world).

Before telling you what they are asking for (you will be surprised …), let us give you some information about this copy: it is an authentic Ferrari. 250 GTO, a model manufactured between 1962 and 1964 and which today is considered by experts as the best Ferrari. of all time, the most special, something like the Holy Grail for the 'ferrarists'.

Its engine is a 3.0-litre V12 capable of delivering 300 HP and 294 Nm torque that allowed it to reach 280 km / h and quickly turned it into an unbeatable car on all types of tracks. All the riders wanted to run with a car like the one you see, but Enzo Ferrari. did not want to build more than 36 copies because he used a triquiñuela: instead of making the 100 cars required by the regulations to approve it in the face of competition, he built that figure claiming that it was actually a 250 GT with slight modifications (aerodynamics and incorporation of a change of five gears, among them). His argument was accepted.

¡Qué barbaridad! Este es el coche a la venta más caro de España

Having a 250 GTO in the garage is for a collector to have reached the highest summit on the planet in question of cars; no one can have a more special model, or at least more quoted in the world, than yours. Most of its owners are businessmen who keep their most prized possession almost secret, although two cases are well known: Ralph Lauren and Nick Mason, the drummer of the band Pink Floyd. In fact, the latter boasts of being the most 'poor' of the mega-multi millionaires who today own 250 GTO.

In the 1970s and 80s, still without the internet, a visionary collector would have been able to do the business of his life: to buy a unit like the one that was put on sale in Beverly Hills for 7,500 euros. Or to become another unit that was given away in 1964 to a high school in Texas (United States), and years later a Joe Korton bought for 6,000 euros in exchange... To leave her abandoned in a field of her property.

But in the 21st century the fever unleashed that put 250 GTO'in place'as a more expensive car even than the Bugatti Royale. By 2010 the figures already exceeded 14 million; five years later it seemed a correct price to pay about 40 million, and four years ago they were paid for 250 GTO at auction 80 million.

So now we can tell you the price of this unit for sale in Spain without being scared: 49,000,000 euros. Think about how many lives you would need to pay for a car like this, while there are billionaires who could buy it without your economy faltering. But Don't call asking that you want to see the car; even if they sell it from Marbella, we are convinced that this unit is not physically in our country right now.
