Lovisual redesigns Logroño

That a butcher shop mutates in a stock market building where to buy its parts for auction; that a pastry shop exposes its sweets as if of exquisite jewels from Tiffany's, or that the finer lingerie is the object of rapture of a flock of capricious birds is possible. In fact, it is being so these days in Logroño, where 23 shops have succumbed to the (good) arts of Lovisual, transforming into a huge gallery of design and creativity open to the city.

Its creators have spent three days in the Assembly of their works, which from yesterday and until the 13th can be enjoyed in the shops involved in this proposal. An initiative launched three years ago by the brothers Niño and architect Javier Peña, with the collaboration of the City Council of Logroño, La Rioja Turismo and the CEdiR. Yours is a bet on design as a renovation element of the city.

Yesterday, Mayor Cuca Gamarra and the promoters, merchants and authors of the interventions participated in the first tour of the premises of Lovisual. The route started from the Floristeria Feliñarán (García Morato), a small vegetable jungle that Álvaro Carrillo and Gala Knör illuminate with the neons of the big cities, the same ones that project icons of desire and consumption.

In cinematographic key, the cartoonist Ignacio Lobera emulates in the window of Osaba that large window of the bar Los Leones through which life was perceived in Bardem's film 'Calle Mayor'.

At LDM, architects Marta Alonso and Imanol Calderón wanted to make the light visible. Its focal points of elastic threads, almost sculptures, illuminate and frame refined garments and accessories.

For the architect Javier Dulín, Iturbe's sweets are authentic jewels, and as such he interprets them in the window of this traditional pastry shop. Just six pieces look on their rocks as an achievable luxury.

In the Joyería María José, sculptor Félix Reyes has added three more jewels, three heads of Alabaster. With his intervention he has sought (and succeeded) to bring to light the beauty hidden inside the stones. Sculptures and very different pieces are those that populate Feijo and in whose installation the artist Diego Sáinz has taken advantage of waste elements from the hardware store itself. His has been a romantic journey through 'little doors that open. They close', like that of Manta Ray twenty years ago.

Humor initiates the proposal of Los Chavales Studio in the butcher's Paco and Begoña, where a gallery of Doric columns and huge banners where the meat of chicken, pork and veal waves invite the customer to enter this' stock market barbacue'. At the opening ceremony yesterday afternoon, customers bid for their meat at a peculiar auction.

In the nearby station of RENFE, preparations for the opening of Style (commercial equipment) are completed, where the proposal of Ayelen Peressini takes advantage of the dimensions and architecture of the premises to suspend from its cover the mobile phone and the color panels that draw the space.

The furniture of Alma de Blues is based on wood and crafts, and hence the proposal of cartoonist Gorka Olmo: two trees that frame the window and are found through its branches and roots. In Novias Senda, architect Valentín Sanz reflects on the ritual of wearing a wedding dress or, better, an ultra-girlfriend, as if it were a superhero. In Mandarina, Pablo Ferreira and Andrés Izquierdo materialize their essay on the dialogue between voyeerism and capitalism.

'lingerie thieves' have wings, beaks, horns, scales... And have entered Anayvi. "who doesn't want to steal these clothes?" asks Jorge Ochagavía. One block away, in Mikonos, huge cariatids drawn by Andrea Santamarina are trying to get out of the window, while photographer Arantza Elejabeitia has directed her camera to author wine-free buildings in Vinoteca Larría.

The three optics that participate in Lovisual have been intervened by women's eyes: María Camba does it in Abrera los Ojos; the Mona perspective at the Capitol Optical Center; and Ana Escalera in the Optical boutique by Pascual. Alexandra Gómez seeks physical and mental balance in Nutriestética; Ernesto Artillo covers the façade of Cristina Marzo stylistas with a print of the waste (with mattresses of hair). The students of the DMAD Madrid school participate in Diana Moda and Goula-Figuera in Setlan with their collection of Kado vases. Brucculeri's' sensitive blue'in Sumertime by Bianca and Javier Triviño 's' Saturn'in Santos Ochoa complete the 2018 Lovisual gallery.
