The results were presented to the Participatory Budget Commission, by the secretary of Outreach and Citizen Care, Daniel Campos Lango, who attributed this result to the fact that more than 50% of the population throughout the country has a pet, and medical care up to At the moment it is only possible in private services, some with very high costs.

“I think the message is very clear from the citizens, they want us not to do million-dollar concrete works, but rather social works that benefit them. 55% of Mexicans have a pet, and here we see the citizen's interest in this public service. On Ciudadanos Wednesdays we detect many requests to be able to operate on dogs or sterilize pets, to give them medicine, because when they go to private veterinarians, the costs are very high,” he said.
