León.- The construction of the first public pet veterinary hospital was the most voted project in the first participatory budget consultation exercise, held on January 20, in which it was clarified, almost 9 thousand citizens voted.

The results were presented to the Participatory Budget Commission, by the secretary of Outreach and Citizen Care, Daniel Campos Lango, who attributed this result to the fact that more than 50% of the population throughout the country has a pet, and medical care up to At the moment it is only possible in private services, some with very high costs.

In the results of the area projects, the Cerrito de Jerez delegation, where 1,261 people participated, the winning project was the installation of public lighting in the communities of La Cinta, Barretos, Los Arcos, San Isidro de los López and Arboleda de los Lopez. Campos Lango reported that the total resource allocated, 13 million pesos, will be enough to also carry out the construction of public space in Valle de Jerez and the rehabilitation of public space in Valle del Real, which came in second and third place respectively.
In Cerro Gordo, where 863 participants were registered, the winner was the paving of Río de Los Castillos street. The budget of 14 million pesos will be enough to carry out the first stage, while for its conclusion they will have to seek federal resources or savings from other works.
In El Coecillo, which had a budget of 17.8 million pesos, the most voted project was the rehabilitation of the athletics track in the Coecillo sports complex, at a cost of 8 million pesos, so it will also be enough to continue with the paving of Fray Daniel Mireles street. In total, 1,213 people participated.
For Las Joyas, where 8 million pesos were allocated and 519 people participated, the winner was the rehabilitation of the public space in Joyas de Castilla Plus, for a total of 5 million pesos. In the San Miguel delegation, which registered 1,219 participants and received a budget of 13 million pesos, the most voted was the paving of the main access to the town of Puerta de San Germán, at a cost of 5 million pesos, so The construction of public space in the Oriental neighborhood and the paving of Malinalco street will also be financed.
