The First RFEF will not be in FIFA 22

The gradual professionalization of the First RFEF will not affect its presence in the famous EASports FIFA video game saga for the time being.

For many fans it is important that their team is representing in the video game. Racing was in the 2020 edition, in LaLiga SmartBank, for the last time.

The 2022 game, with Kylian Mbappé on the cover, is scheduled to be released in late September or early October. It is materially impossible for it to include the licenses of the 40 clubs of the First RFEF. There are many fans who claim it and even the company itself conducts telematic voting to add stadiums and competitions every year. Until now, the third category of Spanish football has never been included, although now that its number of teams has been reduced, it is more likely that it will be done in the near future.

The Federation is still at odds with the cumbersome joint sale of the competition's television rights, so imagining that it is capable of selling the license of the First RFEF for video games is a chimera. Many of the teams that will compete in this new division have already had a presence in FIFA in previous years: Deportivo, Cultural, UDL, Albacete or Racing de Santander itself.

What is clear to EA Sport is that everything related to leagues, teams and stadiums is one of the main attractions of each edition of the game. It is practically the only thing that changes, although in this edition progress continues in the realism of the matches.

Among the new competitions that will be sure to be in the game is the UEFA Conference League called to be the third continental competition.
