The Nation is expected to drop 19% of soybean shipments

Due to the complicated scenario resulting from the drought already present in soybean, one of the country's main production, industrialization and export sectors, exports are estimated to fall by 19% due to the expected poor harvest, which will be of lower quality and therefore more expensive. It is the economic analysis of Pablo Herken, in the programme "Tempranísimo", broadcast by the channel GEN y Universo 970 AM. "what would happen is that the fall in the soybean harvest will hit other sectors both directly and indirectly, which already shows the poor quality that will have an impact on the soybean oil and flour industries, because they will have to make a larger investment in the purchase because of their lower quality," he said.

The situation could lead to a semi-functioning of these industries by not equating pre-established costs, which is one of the negative factors due to the poor quality of soybean, which is expected as a result of drought damage; the expected impact is the fall in global exports, as opposed to the previous year, when 25% grew.

La Nación Se espera que envíos de soja caigan 19%

This year an estimated 19 per cent decline, which means that there will be both lower foreign exchange earnings and probably reflected in an increase in fuel prices, beyond the availability of good reserves by the Central Bank of Paraguay (BCP). For the economic analyst, it is somewhat surprising that the BCP is increasing its interest rate in the midst of a crisis such as the one that is being 'incubated' and which frightens everyone, since it considers that it goes beyond all logic because there is no need to do so.
