Peliqueiros, carballos, cabbages, the Ravachol parrot or the two Marías are the protagonists of the designs of this vilagarcian

Ana Miguéns, from Vilagar, began her career as a jewelery maker when she was very young. She herself goes back to the age of nine to tell Thirty-six how she had fun modeling with plasticine. «I started as a hobby, really, and when I launched it was because I lost my job and it was the right time. Since I was little, I always liked "playing to create" and before creating my brand, I made orders for friends or family, even for them to give as gifts. It all happened very naturally."Ana Miguéns: artisan jewelery inspired by Galicia Ana Miguéns: artisan jewelery inspired by Galicia

From the entroido in Ourense to the Ravachol in Pontevedra

The artisan is inspired by Galician popular culture because, she says, it is what she knows best, so it was very logical for her to start designing entroido masks. «Under request I did other things, but when I started with my brand I wanted to do it with something very Galician, very ours, that I knew how to do almost with my eyes closed. Thus, I began to document myself on all the entroidos from Ourense and created several pieces of peliqueiros, screens and boteiros«.
