This modern private residence located on the Spanish island of Formentera, was designed in 2018 by Marià Castelló Architecture.The rock, which goes to the surface in the chosen place, has been carved as if it were a sculpture, offering a cavity that reminds the stone quarries 'Marès'.All its composition is designed for a family that wants to enjoy the environment and nature, with totally diaphanous spaces, natural light, sustainable materials and panoramic views of the territory.
Concrete house
The striking residence of the architect Steime, a monolith designed with insulating concrete, is located on a quiet street in the town of Foldhause, about 30 km south of Stuttgart, Germany.The oblique arrangement of the facades allows the building to open the surrounding exterior spaces and offer its inhabitants very distant views.Thus, the gently ascending terrain reinforces the angular and sculptural effect of the house, which is designed in a hexagonal plane.The building has only a few openings cut deep into the solid concrete housing.Individual rooms for children and parents are directly adjacent to the living room and, as opposite parallelograms, divide the open plant plane into areas for kitchen and dining room.
