A joint operation between the Civil Guard of Alicante and the National Police of Murcia has culminated in the arrest of six people who formed an alleged criminal group that assaulted houses inhabited in both provinces. They are accused of eight crimes of robbery with force, money laundering, receiving and belonging to a criminal group.
Within the alleged criminal group, tasks such as carrying out the robberies, surveillance or receiving the stolen goods for later sale were shared. The investigators were able to verify that they were settled in the Region of Murcia but their criminal activity was also he would have reached two houses in Benejúzar and another in Catral.
The organization had a businessman who runs a gold trading establishment and, allegedly, acquired part of the illegally obtained loot without recording it in the books subject to inspection. During the three searches that were carried out in Murcia, watches, jewelery and instruments used to verify the purity of the gold were seized.

In addition, instruments to melt the metal have been intervened in the gold trading establishment, so it is suspected that the jewels of illegal origin could have been melted down to avoid being identified and linked to various thefts. A rental vehicle used to perpetrate the assaults and jewelry of various kinds and metal have also been seized. All of them are being checked to determine if they could come from a robbery. The operation is still open and new arrests are not ruled out.
