The tartan, a name by which this stamp originally from the United Kingdom and Scotland is also known, has the quality to be woven horizontally and vertically, and although today it is done in an industrial way, it was originally suffered from being woven fromArtisanal way with wool threads, sustainably.Within Latin America, there are many sustainable fashion designers who propose new versions of this Anglo -Saxon classic print, giving our culture through it.
These new versions of the use of Scottish paintings can be seen in garments under the guides of the Slow-Fashion Movement, revaluing the ancestral and artisanal knowledge and techniques originating in Latin America, giving rise to the work of local artisans, as well as throughof the suppracy of garments or fabrics of existing paintings.It is interesting to see how this trend that has been stomping in international collections, comes alive in different sustainable versions under the Latin American gaze.
