Collaborations are very present in the world of fashion: while sports firms join forces with great designers to reinterpret their classics, and low-cost brands have capsule collections signed by other luxury brands; now the trend is for them to combine with each other to create unique collections. As if it were a kind of Game of Thrones, it takes creating synergies with the competition and here we show you (some) examples.

In TrendenciasThe rumors were true: Skims and Fendi join forces to launch a limited edition capsule collection

Fendi x Skims

Not even 24 hours ago Kim Kardashian gave the good news through his personal Instagram account: his underwear firm Skims was going to collaborate with Fendi on a limited edition collection where exclusivity will be present at all times. Choosing its flagship products, the Skims logo shares space with the Fendi logo.

Fendace

With Milan Fashion Week full of familiar faces that reminded us of the time before the Pandemic, Fendi and Versace wanted to become the great center of attention after presenting their new label, Fendace. With a parade full of stars like Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss or Amber Valletta, the new designs were based on the classic Fendi double F print with the mythical Versace rococo style print.

Gucci Aria (aka Balenciaga)

Neither collaboration, nor alliance, nor capsule collection. The Gucci thing with its Aria collection was a madness that set the RRSS on fire and that brought out the best of Alessandro Michele and Demna Gvasalia. Choosing the most mythical Balenciaga designs, the Italian firm took them to its own terrain with its most iconic prints and logos that intermingled the two fashion firms. Without a doubt, this collection will go down in history as one of the most exclusive.

Gucci x Comme des Garçons

It is not the first time that Comme des Garçons and Gucci have launched a collection of bags together, but it is such a stir that they have wanted to do it again in 2021 -and all to celebrate the 100 years of the Italian firm-. In the shape of a tote bag, this new laminated bag is adorned with the Comme des Garçons logo and is accompanied by the typical Gucci tricolor ribbon.

TommyXTimberland

If a few years ago Tommy Hilfiger teamed up with Vetements to create a casual urban collection full of luxury, this 2021 the North American firm teams up with Timberland to pay tribute to the colorful style of the 90s and the legacy of these two iconic brands. Composed of 17 pieces, this new collection will create a trend.
